1. Overview

SPRUSE HOME Inc. ("SPRUSE HOME," "we," "us," or "our") stands behind the quality and accuracy of every order we fulfill. This Returns & Refunds Policy governs all return, exchange, and refund requests submitted by authorized purchasing entities, government agencies, and institutional buyers in connection with orders placed through www.sprusehome.com or under an active contract with SPRUSE HOME.

2. Definitions

"Goods" means any products purchased from SPRUSE HOME through the Site or under a contract agreement.

"Order" means a purchase request submitted by an authorized buyer.

"You" / "Buyer" means the organization, agency, or institution — and its authorized representative — submitting an order or return request.

"We" / "SPRUSE HOME" refers to SPRUSE HOME Inc., 18850 8th Ave. S, Suite 100, Seattle, WA 98148.


3. Return Eligibility Window

Return requests must be initiated within 30 days of the confirmed delivery date. Requests submitted outside this window will not be accepted except where required by applicable contract terms or law.

To initiate a return, contact us at Orders@sprusehome.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and supporting documentation (photos, packing slips, or inspection reports where applicable). We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, which must be included with all returned shipments. Returns received without a valid RMA number will not be processed.


4. Conditions for Return

To be eligible for a return, Goods must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Purchased within the last 30 days
  • Unopened and in original manufacturer packaging, unless the return is due to a defect, shipping damage, or fulfillment error
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (purchase order number, order confirmation, or invoice)

The following Goods are not eligible for return:

  • Custom, special-order, or made-to-specification items
  • Goods that have been opened, used, or incorporated into operations
  • Goods with expired shelf dates or compromised packaging due to buyer-side storage conditions
  • Goods that have been commingled or rendered unseparable after delivery

SPRUSE HOME reserves the right to deny return requests that do not meet the above conditions.


5. Non-Returnable Items

The following categories are excluded from return eligibility regardless of condition:

  • Sale or closeout items — all such sales are final unless the item arrives defective or damaged
  • Hazardous or regulated materials — where return is prohibited by applicable law or carrier restrictions
  • Contract-specific items — products procured under a dedicated contract SKU or custom pricing agreement, unless the return is due to our fulfillment error

6. Return Shipping

The Buyer is responsible for the cost and risk of return shipping unless the return is the result of a SPRUSE HOME fulfillment error, product defect, or shipping damage. In those cases, SPRUSE HOME will provide a prepaid return label.

We strongly recommend using an insured, trackable carrier for all return shipments. SPRUSE HOME is not responsible for Goods lost or damaged in transit during return. Refunds will not be issued until returned Goods are physically received and inspected at our facility.


7. Refunds

Upon receipt and inspection of returned Goods, we will notify you of the outcome within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method or, for contract-based purchases, via credit memo or account adjustment as appropriate.

Refund processing timelines:

  • Credit card payments: Up to 7 business days after approval, depending on your card issuer
  • Purchase order / invoiced accounts: Credit applied to account or refund issued within 10 business days
  • Government procurement accounts: Processed in accordance with applicable contract terms

Partial refunds may be issued where only a portion of the order is returned or where Goods are returned in a condition inconsistent with their original state.


8. Exchanges

SPRUSE HOME handles exchange requests on a case-by-case basis. To request an exchange, contact Orders@sprusehome.com with your order details and the reason for the request. Factors considered include product availability, contract terms, the nature of the issue, and elapsed time since delivery.

Exchanges resulting from a fulfillment error or product defect on our part will be prioritized and processed at no additional cost to the Buyer.


9. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled prior to shipment at no charge. Once an order has shipped, the standard return process applies. To request a cancellation, contact Orders@sprusehome.com or call (206) 294-9654 as soon as possible with your order number.

For orders placed under a cooperative or government contract, cancellation terms specified in the applicable contract shall govern.


10. Damaged or Incorrect Shipments

If you receive Goods that are damaged in transit, defective, or do not match your order, notify us within 5 business days of delivery. Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the affected Goods and packaging. SPRUSE HOME will arrange for replacement, credit, or refund at no cost to the Buyer.

Failure to report damages within this window may limit our ability to file a carrier claim on your behalf and may affect your return eligibility.


11. Policy Modifications

SPRUSE HOME reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. For orders placed under an active contract, the return and refund terms specified in that contract shall take precedence over this general policy where they conflict.
